To Headteacher and Deputy Head,

Are you planning to do a term topic or a special day on environmental issues in the next year?

Sustainaville is a collaborative, teacher led game that the whole class plays using one computer.  The game suits all learning styles and is fun and very enjoyable. Suitable for Y5 and Y6.

Sustainaville is computer simulation of a virtual community, the pupils take up different roles with limited budgets, have to make decisions and work together to make the community more sustainable.

It is played over many virtual years so it is ideal for anchoring a term’s topic; playing one year each week and revisiting some years to solve/prevent incidents.

The game covers: Geography; PSHE; Citizenship; Maths; English; Cross curriculum dimensions; PTLS.

Sustainaville has a one off licence fee of £200 plus VAT which includes support materials, worksheets and curriculum links (as pdf files).

A case study of Mellor Primary, Stockport using Sustainaville is on our website.

Please ring me to discuss, we are based nearby in Stockport so I am happy to pop into your school and demo Sustainaville.

Kind regards,

Mary Dees
